What is the craft beer scene like in Boise? I know there are a good amount of breweries but what about bottle shops/beer bars? I'm moving to Boise in the next few months, currently work in the craft beer industry and would ideally be looking for a job in beer there

I'm a few hours south of Boise.

I like the co-op there as a bottle shop. Sockeye Brewing is nothing special, but I seem to end up there every time.

I've never been to Boise for "beer" specifically. Football, basketball, wrestling, fights, concerts, bird sanctuary even, but never beer. But always beer at the same time.

They still got that post traumatic field goal syndrome from 2010 out there.

My favorite places when I visited:
- Barbarian Brewing (Garden City, though looks like there's a downtown Boise location now)
- BitterCreek Ale House
- Meriwether Cider (Garden City)
- PreFunk (either Boise or Nampa)
- Woodland Empire Ales

Some other places I liked but were definitely lower on the list like Boise Brewing, Growler Guys (Meridian), Payette, Sockeye, and Taphouse.
