High West Double rye. It's a blend of two ryes. You get aggressiveness from the young 2 year whiskey and smoothness from the 16 year rye. It tastes like a burnt marshmallow. If you are into that sort of thing....

My preference goes to bourbons with the occasional rye.

I will be watching this thread as I would like to dabble in this fine tradition.

Will be tasting Dry Fly Washington Wheat tonight as well as Macallan 12 yr.

Our local liquor hole had Macallan 12 gift sets with free 50mL bottles of Macallan 18yr included. There were no survivors

Angels envy is nice for someone wanting to try something a little different. Its a bourbon fnished in port barrels and imparts some dark fruit and sweetness. Tasty and easy drinking.

Cool. We just got that here. I was wondering what it's story was... fairly pricey from what I recall

Both my bottle of Woodford Reserve and my bottle of Lavagulin 16 are running very low. This makes me sad.
