Walked to 6 different liquor stores in my neighborhood - 1 had a bottle of OVRW and Lot B, but were reserved for "someone," 4 focused more on scotch than bourbon so they definitely didn't have anything, and the last had a few bottles of OVRW and Lot B but the Lot B was priced at $649.

    The hunt continues.

I found one place by me that is selling me an ORVW 10 and Lot B for 400 total. Gonna pull the trigger. After this I have literally searched everywhere in Bay Ridge/Sunset/Dyker. Nothing close to worth it. Way upstate (Syracuse area) hasn't received any Pappy/BTAC yet. My in laws live there and last year I was able to get a few bottles at or near retail. Might have to go visit them again once it drops.

and my in laws are near Buffalo, are super conservative, and don't drink. I can't see them driving up to Buffalo to get me any whiskey. the stone walling continues, lol

I was lucky to get Lot B for $90 this year, and after my first pour I was almost regretting even paying that for it.

I revisited it last night, and it enjoyed it much more. That being said, I don't think paying a premium for it is worth it when there are so many other good options out there for the money. That's just, like, my opinion though.

are the lottery entrance rules the same as PA? do you have to have a VA address to enter? I have relatives in VA and I figure since PA receives so many out of state entries, I can reciprocate.

To be eligible to participate in a Virginia ABC lottery for limited availability products, customers must be residents of Virginia or active-duty members of the military assigned to a permanent duty station in Virginia

I live in WV, but also have a address and my license is in VA

You're obviously not trying hard enough to pick up on the nuances of the rarity in the bottle.

Solid analysis here. MooseLang should send it to me for proper enjoyment of the rarity.

This is how I feel about the ORVW I won in a lotto for $70. It does make for a really nice gift card though.

Wish we got it up here. Can never seem to find it. Could be it doesn’t get distributed.

Down to one open and one closed. I have a friend who sourced from Indianapolis... 6 bottles added up to ~$12 per, and that was after shipping costs. Unfortunately, I heard that Heaven Hill stopped distributing to Indy so probably couldn't source again even if I wanted to.

Hard to pass up a pour of this @ $18/1.5oz. The 2017 is much more approachable than the '16 was in my opinion, a lot of baking spice and oak, long finish. Hoping I can find a bottle before they're all scooped up.. crazy to think that it's still so hard to find with 38k being made

Doing the same, but at 6 packages for the state I might need to start crossing more fingers.

I just do one entry, does pretty much everyone else get everyone they know to enter or use multiple email addresses? They say they filter duplicate entries but if it's just based on email addresses you can have tons of those.
