I posted some a while back. They came from my in laws estate. Worth $40 all day. Be careful one of them I opened for the first time the cork broke into a bunch of pieces and now you get floaties free of charge when you get a pour.

decant the entire bottle out into a different glass bottle and pass it all through a coffee filter to remove the cork bits. works like a charm.

Found a bottle of Hibiki 21 on the shelf for $500. How outlandish is that?

It's about $50-$100 over secondary price. Sadly, "reasonable" for a bottle like that is $300-$330 from a store if you can find it

Not as bad as the GTS for $750 or the Handy for $800 found at a local shithole liquor store about three blocks from my house.

In Michigan, stopped at a local random grocery store and grabbed this. Not bad at all, especially at around $30

Finally was able to track down some Pikesville Rye. You think this would be easier for someone in Maryland, eh?

What a great Rye. Really enjoying this so far. I missed out on the TB 4R picks, so this is helping me feel better.

Out of curiosity, is $59 a normal price point for this? Thought it was cheaper for some reason. But for a 6 year old Rye, that’s not a bad price nowadays.

Maybe a bit on the high side. It's usually $45-50 around here.

It really is great. Paid $60 for my most recent bottle. Definitely worth it.

Courtesy of IndianaJones Thanks as always... What a great pour. I’ve drank a lot of 4R lately. Great to change it up... wish I had a bottle of this vintage.

Is there any St. George Baller left at close to MSRP? Looking for a bottle or two.

I’ve only seen the last batch available at MSRP one time, and I summarily bought all of it. Everywhere else it’s $225-250.

I think I got my last bottle for around $50.

Send me your info. When I get my TB bottles in I’ll send you samples.

So I'm going to be opening this tomorrow with my cousin to raise a glass to my mom and uncle, both of whom passed away in the past year.

Any thoughts on the likelihood of the cork breaking, and how to avoid that?

    Thanks!
