I didnt find a thread and i def going and since i know lots of you clods are in Souther California i figured many of y'all will be there cutting the line in front of me ; )

I saw this posted a while ago so i thought i'd share.

Who's going?

Think the wrist band think will work?

Anybody want to offer an opinion on the draft list?

Any of you know-it all Hoarders know what this will be:

The Bruery Surprise Cask / special barrel aged beer on (CASK)

Will i get to have 10 Younger's?

Do pigs fly?

If they do do they crash into Unicorns? Or Pegasi? Or Pterippus?

We will be doing a double numbered wristbanding system for the line for bottle sales. This should help alleviate cutting issues. We will have a security person overnight to pass out wristbands. The double system makes it so you can't pick up a wristband, leave and try and come back and jump the line. It will also prevent late joiners from getting bottles before the people behind them in line. I'm still thinking about doing a limited amount of online sales, but you'd have to pick it up that week and can't double dip with waiting in line.

Well im gonna stand in line like a dufus....
I guess i 'll bring some beerz and something to eat...Er..is there anything in walking distance to eat?
Im gonna stay at a little motel about 3/4 of a mile away.

I'm still confused about the "double numbered wristbanding system" :

Like, if im among the first 200 i get a wristband so...like why doe s it need another number?...cant i just come back at any time and have them hold 2 bottles for me? And if i dont show up by soem specified time couldnt they just agree to sell my bottles to some other person?

I'm pretty damn excited about two different treatments of Love.
And Capn Crunch Victory at Sea?...awesome..ive never been to the Victory at Sea Day at Hamilton's so i haven't had those wacky versions.
Plus im curious about the Mother Earth sour...their DIPA is terriffic.

Sorry im a dork. this is kinda cool for me coming from Arid-zona . We never see taplists even half this cool.

So am I. I have no idea what that means, and I doubt Ivan (the pub owner) does, either. Guaranteed **** show, which is I'm sure what he wants. Bottom line: just get there early and have a great time!

2 per 200 people. 400 to-go bottles.
Last year it didn't work that way - some people got over 10 bottles - no mules. Just kept going back to the table. Those selling didn't give a ****. 2nd hand account - but coworkers I trust. I was in Anaheim drinking Racer 5 @ DCA :(

Best thing is to go Sunday ( I know you know this ehammond, speaking to everyone else now ). **** the bottles - not worth it. That taplist is amazing. I would guess only Younger and a couple others will kick Saturday.

What does this mean, exactly? I'm confused. 1v1willwreku domtronzero evilc MarkIntihar rcubed Sage

One number for place in line, one for number of bottles? I just wish Ivan would come up with something better. Their are plenty of better ideas out there. Silent release, lottery, BPT, etc.

Went last year at 6pm-ish with the wife. 10-15 minute wait. Taplist was indeed awesome and still mostly intact. Only Younger and the CFH kegs kicked, but they had plenty of CFH bottles for onsite. I think they even put more CFH on tap later on that night but I was already gone. **** that takehome bottle noise.

I think he likes it. It puts his pub in the local rags.

Awesome, sounds like no one is going to wait in line this year. Cool. Maybe last year's ******** will have some positive consequences this year . I'm a sucker for this event and those bottles. Too many great beers to pass up. Love's? C'mon, Peach Love was insane 3(?) years ago at Beachwood. TarTare Rouge? Fill it up! 6am 5-Hour Energy shot to get me to 11? Yes, please.

During the rest of the year, how difficult is it to order a CFH for onsite?
Depends on the week/day, seriously. The owner of Churchill's keeps all the bottles at his house and he brings them into the pub. From what I understand talking to the employees, the owner does this somewhat randomly and he only brings a certain amount each week/month. I've heard it's easier to get bottles in the months following the release versus later in the year, but i can't speak to if that's true or not. BUT there was more CFH made this year than previous years so hopefully it'll be easier for others to get bottles of on-site consumption.

Thanks for the feedback. I've never noticed it on their online bottle list so I wasn't sure what the deal was. Hopefully we'll be there on the right day.

It's not advertised as for sale on-site and you can try calling ahead and asking to have a bottle on site, can't hurt, right?

When are you coming to SD? I can talk with the staff and put in the good word and try to make sure some bottles will be on-site during your stay.

Wow - for real? We'll be there in April from the 24th to the 30th. Don't bother if it's too much of a hassle though. I know there's plenty of other gems to be had there.

Meh, not a problem. Like I said before, since you're coming a little less than 2 months after the release hopefully it isn't a problem. But there's a few of us on this site who go there regularly that we can nag the staff to get some bottles there, haha.
