Åhus is a weird place to have an office. Does your company make, like, fishing lures or something else obscure?

Dennis Vansant (formerly the guy from Koelschip) is opening his own bar in May. Opening weeks events look suitably ridiculous.

Of course. I was being thick there for a moment.

Bummer. Guess I'll be leaving Copenhagen with a suitcase of hotel lambics.

Great thread. Will be visiting Malmö, Sweden in July and plan on ducking over to Copenhagen for a day. I'll try to post closer to the date to see if anybody would like to meet up for a few beers! Very interested in Koelschip as far as beer goes. Foodwise, curious about Hija de Sanchez and Ramen To Bíiru. Cheers!

If anyone knows someone or is interested themselves in two tickets to the Cantillon batch 1 tasting please PM me! I got tickets but now can't go and am looking to sell them ASAP.

Try Slurp Ramen, they are among the best in Europe. I've not been very impressed by Ramen to Biiru (uneven) and Hija de Sanchez myself, particularly hija de sanchez was very mediocre and overpriced, there are lots of good food in Copenhagen though

Thanks for the feedback! I'll probably reach out once it gets closer to my trip for more info on food/beer/coffee/records.

Not beer/food related, but I figured I'd post here to see how people have fared using AirBnB in Copenhagen. My wife and I have used it a lot with great success, but never outside the states. We'll be there for 3-4 nights in September. Also any recommendations on neighborhoods, etc. would be appreciated.

    Just got home from CPH.
Airbnb used for a couple nights and it was great. Only issue was A/C and lack thereof. It was unseasonably warm so windows on to street had to be open. But it was a quiet neighbourhood so. I was staying in the east part of Centrum (middle of city).
City is walkable but renting bikes is a great way to go.
3-4 nights will allow you to do a lot. I was there for 2 and hit everything I wanted to, even if it was only briefly.

I really dug every neighbourhood. They were all safe and all had good beer resources.

    Check out this beer map:

    A couple highlights were:
    - Mikkeller Baghaven (their barrel and sour outfit) it’s a ways out of the way from most neighbourhoods but great spot to sit outside and very cool area of repurposed industrial complexes. I went there after dinner at Barr. Then walked through Christiania after. Fun stop.
    - Koelschip - Mikkeller’s lambic stop. Lots of Bokkereyder available.
    - Fermentoren - nice taps, nice vibe, great staff. Close to War Pigs if you are looking to hit that up.
    - Brus - To Ol’s brewpub. Good food, great taps. Bottle shop on site.
    - 1402 - new Belgian pub. Lambic handpulls, extensive cellar. Dennis knows his stuff.
    - Himmeriget - bit let down. Taps were ok. Crapped out on Blaeber bottles for on site. Noisy and busy street. Just an odd location.

Ask Dunt about his Copenhagen AirBnB. Story never gets old.
