I'd just like to say that Rancio is an amazing elixir. I'm currently finishing up a bottle I opened probably 4-5 weeks ago and it's developed so much since. This stuff is fucking magic. Best cherry wines in the world, no doubt about it.

Jester King seems to get a few cases (less than 5) every once in a while.... I think they're the only place in the entire Great State of Texas that's currently getting it.

    ... I keep missing it....

Found 1 store in Boston that is loaded. (Fort Point Market)

I've only had the reserve but it was amazing so hopefully I'll get to grab the others soon

Had some Rancio over the weekend and it was glorious. Tons off oak and tannins that balance out the sweet wine characteristics.

When you go back home after 8 months and the half-finished bottle of Sur Lie is sitting in the back of the fridge.

Drinking just like it did freshly opened.

I picked up a bottle of the Rancio as well and I'm fucking stoked to open it. I need to find something to pair it with though. I'm sure it will be great solo, but I want to indulge.

I work that night, but hopefully he’ll have time to stop by Bailey’s; my boss said he wanted to bring some stuff for us to taste. I just wanna know when I can buy some bottles!

  18. Having never had this, what does this stuff taste like in very broad terms? A sweet wine? High sugar? Would you make mead comps? Kriek? I'm just generally curious because it's interesting to me that so many beer folks are into this.

Schramms Statement would be comparable, obviously minus the honey flavor component.

What I find funny is that wine folks are like WTF is this shit? Why are people loking for it?
