Nope, not an oxymoron, there really is some good music for the holidays. Rock, pop, blues, jazz, whatever you want, just not too sappy please. Post one per week. Honorable mentions start on Sunday 12/23.

Here's one I sing to my wife every year. It's worked a couple of times.

A newer song, but it's become probably my favorite Xmas tune of all time.

Hanson has 2 albums of Christmas music and you want me to limit myself to one song per week? Homie. (j/k, I like NSYNC, too)

I am seeing them play an acoustic holiday show at a winery on Sunday, though word on the street is it won't be all Christmas songs, I would be surprised if this one isn't on the set list. It's a delightful arrangement of classic sacred holiday tunes, and it's fully a capella. When I originally saw the track listing for this album, this was one of the songs I was less excited for their interpretation for (right above Wonderful Christmastime and Blue Christmas, which I am not sure anyone likes), and it wound up being one of my favorites and one that is easily likable by anyone who can appreciate a new twist on an old song or just a well done a capella.
