Feel free to admit your deepest secrets/desires here. I'll get this started with an unpopular bang...

I think the following (very popular among this site's demographic) television shows are incredibly not funny:

    Community
    Its Always Sunny
    The Office
    Parks & Rec
    30 Rock
    How I Met Your Mother
    Arrested Development

    Every show you like.

formulaic as fuck. Watching these are like reading a RateBeer troll thread.

I unequivocally despise mushrooms. Cannot stand the mother fuckers.

Except for the *special* kind, which I love more than life itself.

    Reported.

Despite being above-average at my job and having tons of training and more certifications than I need, I am in constant terror that my employer will one day "discover" that I am a fraud and have no idea what the fuck I am doing, and shitcan me immediately.

    I understand most of those.

I thought Community Seasons 1 and 2 were interesting and clever (themed episodes) if not completely groundbreaking. Season 3 dragged, didn't watch Season 4. I appreciate their absurd style. For example, I've never played D&D, but this scene cracked me up:

Arrested Development was one of the first mainstream sitcoms to do away with the laugh track, IIRC, and it tried more callbacks / cohesive humor than any other show. It was the first mockumentary sitcom, I think. It didn't have the ongoing romance trope. It's probably less original now, since Modern Family and some other shows have taken similar elements and made them work. I still think it's better than most other shows on at the time, or since then.

HIMYM is a huge guilty pleasure for me.

Big Bang Theory is a nerd minstrel show. It annoys me. Penny's inability to hold a straight face is terrifying. But she's hot.

Never got into Peep Show, Happy Endings, Deadwood, or Downton Abbey. My wife made me watch the first episode of DA. When it was over, I became irrationally angry and didn't speak to her till the next morning.

Shows I'm currently watching: Batman Beyond, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter (current, and last, season).

Scrubs started two years before Arrested Development and didn't have a laugh track. I don't know how many others there were around there, that's just one I know off the top of my head.

Sports Night also did it (1998). I didn't say AD was the first, just one of the first. Network execs felt it was risky.
