Brookline Liquor Mart is looking to grow its team! We are an 80+-year-old family run institution that prides ourselves on excellent customer service, only matched by our well-rounded wine, spirits, and craft beer portfolio. We are currently looking to fill the role of Assistant Warehouse Manager as well as Beer Buyer. This is a multi-faceted role where you will be expected to think on your feet, perform quality work quickly, as well as perform various roles throughout the work day, while maintaining a professional sales experience for our customers. We are looking for serious candidates only, who have experience in liquor retail, warehouse management, as well as a working knowledge of beer, spirits, and some wine education. You must be able to run many projects simultaneously through a busy workweek, including seasons of increased business.

As the Assistant Warehouse Manager you will be responsible for:

· Providing supplementary aid to the Warehouse Manager.

· Pulling orders for delivery to one of our hundreds of accounts throughout Metro Boston.

· Keep inventory organized and monitored in wine, spirits, and beer

· Receive deliveries on a daily basis. This includes moving several hundred cases a day at over 30-40lbs a piece in and out of cold storage, as well as into the warehouse.

· Assisting the delivery driver to ensure accurate, timely and quality delivery to our clients.

As the Beer Buyer you will be responsible for:

· Maintaining proper inventory levels pursuant to weekly budgetary restraints.

· Growing your knowledge of beer styles, market availability, as well as various styles requested by our customers. The market is constantly changing, and our customers demand an ever-changing product.

· Developing a rapport with wholesale representatives on a daily and weekly basis, to maintain healthy relationships.

· Push for a diverse range of quality products in the beer portfolio, craft, macro, foreign and domestic.

· Pricing items appropriately, as well as stocking and labeling to keep shelf space looking clean and sellable. The retail business is all about presentation as well as options, and BLM wants to ensure that our customers are offered the best selection in the city.

This is an excellent opportunity to get on the ground floor of the craft beer business. You will learn all about the inner workings of the industry, what it takes to operate and maintain a working portfolio, as well as the dynamic environment of a warehouse. Candidates must be self-motivated, willing to work in a changing environment, and can handle working in a physically challenging workspace. Think you’re up for the challenge?
