Can anyone suggest good camping near HF? Thank you.
I've stayed in a few places up there...not the closest, but my favorites were Little River SP and Smuggler's Notch. I think one of the closest is Elmore, but it was too exposed and close to a noisy road. As far as primitive camping, Willoughby State Forest is very close and is very nice.
I hear the area by the pond is quite nice.
some camping and cabin suggestions on their site

I really like Oregon Brook. It's about 15 mins away from HF, right off 122 on your way there if you are coming from 91. Fairly cheap too. They have a crazy, huge field they rent out to groups that I got last September.
This pic is only like half of it. Included two outhouses, fire pit area, grill and some picnic tables, space for parking. No other people around us
Busy day up there? Heading up tomorrow. Hoping DB Damon is still around onsite!
Elmore is my preferred campground, about a 5 minute drive or so into Morrisville. Belview is a good choice as well - fairly close to Hill and Parker Pie.
Alas, my hairy chest will remain unadorned.
Drinking buds busy? Dome a fresh Arthur while reviewing/brushing up a presentation for work tomorrow
Wish I had a case of this, but I appreciate that a bottle share acquaintance pickitupformebro'd one of each shelfie and a few growlers when he went up for Aaron. Can't wait to restock and reciprocate...
Will be there Friday (and probably Saturday). Can't wait to return and see the new bar area.
She's a beaut. Nothing but improvements to the experience.
Haven't been in over a year. Much excite
So, what are the odds my Altima coupe makes it through those back roads to Hill? Want/need beer. Not in mood to crash into a chestnut tree, a la Homer Simpson.
Take one for the team and come to terms with the fact that people want your shirts and signatures.
Had no issues in my Toyota Camry (aside from backing out from a downhill) on my two December trips. If you're going tomorrow or Friday I'd wager you're good as it's warm right now.
Count me in on the Os shirt.
He hates us right now.
see what you're starting raginasian238
and your car should be fine... stick to 16/Taylor/Hill and it's usually not a big deal
What, never? No, never!
Well depends on how good of a driver you are, but according to your handle.......
