Grand Cru Brut is a blend of 2 and 3 year old lambic with a bit of the same sugar alcohol they add to Lou Pepe bottles to give it carbonation. It was released at BXL festival this weekend.

From what I’ve been told it’s two barrels of ~3.5yr old lambic bottled earlier this spring then primed with the bottling sugar for carbonation.

Forgot I have FOb4 to add as well if that sweetens the pot.

Happy to do a 3:1 situation as 1:1 was overly confident on my part.

Just a heads up, offered a guy a bottle of d'aunis and he wanted that plus a 50N or something similar. I'm afraid these are going to trade quite high and I have no idea how many bottles they actually sold at the festival

I know, he said pretty much 1:1 with other one time Cantillon bottles. You guys think its worth trading for a bottle of magic?

Having had neither, yes, then forget about it for a good few years

Someone on a FB group was razzling one off at a $400 valuation. I don't think a market has been established for these yet. Regardless, too high of an entry price.

I would do that. I liked Zwanze 16 but Im a bigger fan of unfruited lambic.

    Yeesh, thats nuts.

Hopefully I get to try Grand Cru Brut some day, but thats not looking too likely at the moment without having to give up a bottle I am attached to.
