Hey guys, I'm looking to organize my cellar in more than boxes scattered throughout my cold basement. Are there any rack / shelving recommendations which you'd propose, and potentially where to get them from?

Thanks in advance and cheers.

I'm going through the same thing right now. Moving into a new place with a shared basement where the washer / dryer are. There's a small room that locks so I can store my lambic racks in there but for the stouts, barley wines and saisons I store vertically, I"m thinking of getting this:

It has a lock & key which is nice and I was going to put 2x4s vertically under each shelf to support the weight of the bottles.

I can probably stack 24-30 bottles per shelf for a total of 120 bottles.

This is my current setup: (photo is like 14 months old now and I've reduced the amount of bottles a LOT)

For the record, Stu's design and implementation are awesome. When I buy my own place in a year or two, I'm going to adapt his design. I think most people here agree he has an awesome setup.

i bought some pine wine rack on ebay a while back. holds 56 bottles. if i stay in my current house i want to upgrade to a 200+ bottle wine cooler. if i move like i want to, i will hopefully find a good basement where i can age in open air on racks.

wine coolers are dope, and consolidate well.
