I think we've all played with Legos at one point in our lives, but now that I am older and have a child I am back at it. We've been putting some sets together and are really getting into it. Just bought some tickets for a Lego fest coming up near us and I'm excited to see they are building a new Lego Land just outside of NYC.

Some recent sets we put together.

    Vader!

And some more but I am done spamming for now. Just started doing some Technic sets, they are pretty cool as well.

So yeah, let's talk about anything Lego related, sales on sets, new stuff coming out, personal collections/builds etc...

A couple more things. I am sure some of you enthusiasts already know about it, but I've been using https://brickset.com/ for all my lego info and set tracking. Geez it's packed full of info. I had a few sets from years ago that were long lost mixed in with the misc Legos and this site helped me figure out what all the pieces were.

Also, this thing isn't out yet but it seems pretty interesting. My daughter is only 5 but she can use the hell out of a tablet so I think she (and certainly me) would have fun with it. Thoughts on it?

From my desk (pardon the gross amount of dust):

I also have bins and bins of bricks from my childhood (it was literally the only type of toy I wanted to play with growing up) but it’s all a disorganized mess right now.

Been eyeing the shit out of that new London Bus set.

And yes, Brickset is the best.

    +1 to Brickset.

Ever since I can remember, I've been a sci-fi fan. First movie I can remember seeing in the theater was Empire Strikes Back.

The space sets were all I was into as a kid. And I mostly buy Star Wars and Marvel related sets these days. Cause comic books.

Always used to build by the numbers and play with them for a while. Then would dismantle and create stuff of my own.

Here are a few builds. Recycled pics cause lazy.

Currently building this. Wish I hadn't slept on the other Ultimate Collectors sets. Gonna get the TIE set before its run ends.

A little unprepared but I will get some shit out. Here's some dusty stuff lying about in various regions of the domicile.

Ignore poor quality pics I was excited.

Holy damn MordorMongo. Pic quality entirely forgiven.

My excuse is I have an 11 year old boy. The reality is he hasn't gave a fuck in quite some time.

Love Legos. Had a few smaller sets when I was a kid. Really loved everything Technic. Sadly, I was a Construx boy at heart

I have a friend who has about 10 of the big Technic kits (combine, semi, etc.). The want is strong.

I think this is the only thing that I don't totally dig about my girls... the toys. Older one asked for some legos, received them, built the little characters, and lost everything else. She's only 6, so maybe Legos get another run?

For now, I'm stuck with Baby Alive and LOL dolls.

    weep for me.

My kid loved them from 4-6 and then again 9/10. There was a gap where he didn't even want any at all. Now he wants them still but mainly because he knows I love them. He will start big sets and let me take over about 50% through haha

You can try Legos with them, but they'll probably just pick the girl sets. But that just sets up an Star Wars Imperial invasion of some Lego Princess castle.

    The Empire wins
