Hey, LA & OC. Why shouldn't we have our own thread? (don't answer that)
    • Events
    • Releases
    • New breweries, brewpubs, etc.
    • Bottle shops, sales, etc.
    • Whatever else
    Cheers!

First up - Beachwood's Mocha Machine gets cranked out in bottles on the 27th. Shit be off the chain in their typical 5pm release format.

Yeah, good call! That's a great beer and the artwork on the label is up there with some of their best.

Thread should be deleted for having too many different topics. I'll go ahead and report it.

But in all seriousness, it's about time we have an LA/OC thread. I get so jealous reading the San Diego thread. Let's see if we can keep this one nearly as active.

Hopefully the demand for Beachwood bottles has died down a bit, if the continued availability of SOAS is any indication. Or perhaps everyone else was as overwhelmed by the coffee as I was.

    Just posted on Instagram:

TWO bottles, SAME date, SAME time. We’re updating the Udder Love release time from 11:30am to 5pm to coincide with Mocha Machine. Both available at 5pm on 7/29/14. Both Beachwood locations. #LongBeachCraftBeer

They have had 7 bottles of beer I already paid for for like 8 months. I'm tired of waiting for them to open again.

Bummer, you missed your window! They'd been open for a couple weeks until this note went up today. I went there twice--once right after they re-opened (everything was old & dusty but they still had some good stuff) and again after they had a chance to clean up and restock (picked up some Melrose and Enjoy By).

Pretty sure they do all their releases at 5pm mid-week. No clue why, but its the #1 reason that I don't get their harder-to-find stuff. Who can make it to LB at 5pm on a work day???

I usually just go there around lunchtime the next day to grab a bite, a flight, and a couple bottles. No lines.

Anyone going to this event? It's at the Queen Mary in LB on Sat. 8/2. The brewery line-up doesn't do anything for me, but the pictures of the food (from the SD event, maybe?) look AMAZING!!!

...I don't even know what this is in the pic below, ffs, but I know I want to eat it--lots of it. With a beer on the side.

I checked out the website. The beer will probably be lackluster for the most part but Beachwood and bacon should make it a winner regardless.

I thought they blended the SoaS pretty well... the flavors all merged nicely.

I think they had it for sale for so long because they didn't kick more than a few cases into distribution. So limited area to get it from and people are still not hip to how amazing it is.

Hey LA/OC crew... anyone know whats up with that Bruery Mash & Coconut? I saw it on a site I follow, but they just posted the label and I haven't been able to find any info on release date/availability/etc
