Mild exaggeration, not Amish.... actually I'm not even from Pennsylvania. Newly transplanted to Lancaster, Pa from NJ. While in NJ I co-founded the NJ chapter of Girls' Pint Out, empowering women in the community through events related to the deliciously handcrafted brews of our region and beyond. Also an avid homebrewer, craftbeer advocate & selfmade aficionado. Look forward to the forums. - Cheers

You seem to be way too driven and productive for this community.

Figured after 28 strong years I'd rearrange the letters of my name, however schmdi just didn't flow.

Welcome fellow transplant. Be sure to check out Springhouse and St Boniface breweries.

....& Another mild exaggeration, I've been in the area for just over a year but nonetheless thanks for the welcome! I live within a mile from SH taproom, closer to LBC but to be honest I only go there for the food. I'll make my way to St. Boniface soon then, thanks.

No problem. Not sure of your favorite styles but IMO Springhouse makes an excellent chocolate peanut butter porter.

I usually gravitate to the balanced hoppier ales for pleasure, but don't discriminate on any style when going to breweries for their specific beers or spontaneous drafts to switch it up. My current go to there is the Astounding She Monster w/Mango, the Seven gates is a good one to. Did you just move into the state/ lanc city?

Haven't had Astounding She Monster w/mango yet but really liked Simcoe Must Be Destroyed, a really nice DIPA!

I have never had a tide pod blueberry bandaid chestnut pumpernickle flour flavored vodka before... maybe I should leave my house more than once a quarter.

But is the glass rimmed with crab salad or fried lotus blossoms?

Oh I assumed they were going to rim the glasses with crushed glass so you would get a nice iron taste with the beer
