Good old PA liquor board can go f themselves. The fine wine and good spirits website has bookers rye as a lottery item next week.

$600. This is double the retail price, is it not? Amazing that this state run monopoly is now charging secondary pricing. I would love for this lotto to flop and noone enter it

Complete horseshit. The only way to legally get it is to pay secondary prices, only because there is no avenue for competition .

On the other hand, had a pour of Booker's Rye last night, and hot damn is it good. (Like really Fucking good)

Second this remark. I will have some tonight as I try (not very hard) to finish off my first of 6 bottles. Yes, 6...I know, I should have picked up a couple more, right?

I don’t love either of these. Neither is bad, but both are fairly unremarkable. The dark rye is very unique with the port blend, but too sweet for my liking. The regular rye is super light with a lot of oak (makes sense since it was finished in new charred quarter casks).

It’s been on sale at tipsys. So I grabbed a bottle. This bottle is still a little hot. Hoping it mellows out over time.

I wish Michters would be more forthcoming with the provenance of their whiskey. I think the general consensus is that it’s mostly MGP/LDI but hard to know for sure.

Flavor wise I’d have to agree.

Is it worth switching over from the Rittenhouse/Sazerac camp? I've always been wary of Michters but...LDI...

Very different flavor profiles for me. 95% rye for the LDI ryes vs 51% or so for Saz.

I like Saz for mixing, but I’d prefer Michters for sipping.

I really regret not grabbing a bottle :( It sat for months and when I was finally ready it was gone. Always how it goes...

I had the chance as well, and also passed.

    No ragrats.

It was a spendy bottle that, while really good, was too spendy for me to drop $150 on. If it has a flaw, it’s that it’s too sweet (for me).

Picked this up during my Costco run today.

Wife approves of it. So this is a win.
