It's been a minute since I've run a BIF, so you tell me what you think it should be. Gonna revive one of my classic BIFs, and it's gonna run after the new year, so we have some time to plan. I don't want this to counterract any of the current holiday BIFs, so we'll lock it down after Thanksgiving, and shipping window will be January.

Tell me what you miss more!

Or, would you rather just have Survivor again?

But not really as I hate the 'new' local beer people and our old group has gone missing.

I'd be down for the Gang Bang BIF if we had clear requirements on eligibility on who is allowed to be on a team, potentially narrowing the number of groups that can participate given geographic constraints but overall improving the experience for everyone. Would also think getting it set up for March or April shipping, with teams forming in January/February, could be a good idea given the weather. Pretty sure we could scrounge up a team or two from CT without too much issue!

Survivor BIF looks pretty intense - betting it gets pretty fun. I'd be down for that one

Yeah, if we're looking for BIFs to bring everyone here together, Survivor ain't it.

    This one always looked intriguing.

Not sure I follow...but I wasn't here for any of the other rounds.

    Sound advice I think.

I was only a part of one of the rounds, but previously several teams consisted of a TB member or two and were then filled out by a bunch of offsite folks. Though I'm not against it in theory, I would want to have rules set on how many active TB members are required per team and maybe some simple, concise guidelines on what to include and what not to include in boxes. ie don't send old beer that's supposed to be consumed fresh and don't send beers across the country when they're natonally distro'ed and currently available on the shelf wherever your target lives. The nature of the BIF will naturally create an imbalance in the types/quality of boxes teams receive, but more accountability (via active status here) and some clear do's and dont's would help I think.

To be clear, I had an absolute blast when I participated in this BIF, but it could be even better!

In theory, the gang bang BIF sounds like a lot of fun, but I've had 0 luck getting anyone else in the Houston area to commit to anything

If you're looking for a gang bang style BIF, the board game night BIF has basically morphed into that. We usually run it twice a year.

That's bananas, since past rounds have had (2) Houston area teams.

This. So much fun. Even if you aren’t big in to board games you could just request party games. Our group drank for 11 hours and we are halfway done with our boxes.
