EDIT: They have roughly $5M left to sign 5 players. HAHAHAHAHA
Try to keep up eh
At least post that Marcus Johannson went to NJ for a 2nd and 3rd round pick.
I'd rather have ~2 Johannson's than 1 Kuznetsov.
Seriously sick to my stomach that Marleau is no longer a Shark.
Can't even right now.
Can't wait to see a bunch of ECHL kids, lobbing 30 pucks a period through the slot, to a 48-year old Ovechkin at the top of the circle.
I wonder if they gave Ovi the choice and he picked his countryman over Johansson
Looking at the Sharks lineup with out Marleau, and woof. I'm projecting something like this:
Pavelski - Thornton - Meier
Boedker - Couture - Hansen
Karlsson - Hertl - Donskoi
Labanc - Tierney - Ward
That is definitely not a Cup winning lineup. They need a scorer on Thornton's wing, but there are very slim pickings right now. They're best bet is probably trying to get Neal (barf) from LV. I the Pacific is going to be a tough division once again, and the Sharks are in some real danger of falling down the standings. Hope Dougie can work some magic.
Oh for fuck's sake.
I thought by letting Haley walk the Sharks were finally moving away from gritty (read: useless) "character" players. This addresses 0% of what we need in the lineup.
Edit: fuck, I shouldn't have looked at his stat line. 23 points in 241 games.
There she is, 8yr $100M, AAV of $12.5M
$86 million of that is signing bonuses. Also, the Oilers wanted to give him more, but he felt bad. I already have a feeling they'll be in a cap nightmare in a couple of years. Kid may have saved them a little bit of stress.
Another player I was hoping the Sharks may be looking at re-signed.
Are the Pittsburgh Penguins Trading Phil Kessel?
Hi, San Jose is a kind of cool town. Ok, not really, but it's close to San Francisco!
They better not trade my large, beautiful, American son.
I'm already mentally preparing for, like, two or three years from now when Kessel is completely worthless on the ice. I am training myself now to never hate him and always remember the good times.
Need to get my hands on a copy of that.
