Damn BG, making a brother sweat it out today for that Tuesday newsletter, aren'tcha?
Just a bit early on the gun. A wee-heavy? In.
With anniversaries come anniversary beers. This year's edition, IV, is a Scottish-style wee heavy ale aged in Willett bourbon barrels. Similar in flavor to an English barleywine, IV features huge caramel, vanilla and raisin flavors, a sweet milk chocolate character, and the added depth of bourbon and charred oak.
This Sunday, May 20th, IV will be available both on draft and in 375mL bottles. Once again, we're using our taproom-only reservation system for the bottle release. Here's how it works:
From this Wednesday, May 16th, through this Saturday, May 19th, we'll be accepting reservations to purchase bottles of IV when it is released on Sunday, May 20th.
Reservations must be made in person, and may not be made via phone or email. Bottles will not be available to those without a reservation.
Upon making your reservation, you will be able to choose a pickup window for Sunday's release (2pm - 6pm), during which you may purchase up to four bottles of IV. Bottles are $12 apiece.
A reservation is not a presale – no money will be taken until Sunday.
Your photo ID will be required to both make your reservation and confirm it during the release.
BA Wee.. Yaaassssssss
My post was two minutes before the e-mail was sent. Jumped the gun just a teeny tiny bit, lol.
Anybody going to tacofest Saturday or Punk in Drublic on Sunday?
Anyone else planning to hit Grist House tonight before getting your ears pulverized by gy!be at Mr. Smalls?
The Melvins Saturday and Punk in Drublic Sunday for me.
You've got a sexy weekend ahead of you pal. Wish i could join you at the Melvins.
I'll be at PunkinDrub too, describe your face so i can be on the look out for ya.
Yeah I do. Getting to see the Melvins for approximately the billionth time and Bad Religion for the first time is pretty much a perfect weekend.
I'll be the guy (one of 'em anyway) with a short beard greying on the sides and long hair that is majestic when freshly washed and in wind, but turns to hobo hair when exposed to humidity.
McMatt will be the guy double fisting Olde English forties and wearing nothing but a smile and a clown wig.
How many allotments are left at Voodoo PIT for the fourth anny wee heavy?
Listen I've had just about enough guff from you, guy.
If I'm in South side and I want to eat tacos, I don't have to pay a $10 cover.
But big yes to punk in drublic.
How long is that line at BG right meow?
There's a line but it's not too bad.
Did they fill the reservations for the day? How many reservations are they taking?
I signed up at 10. I don't think there's a per day limit.
