Yeah I re-upped again for Hive. Especially with the NYC drop off, in case I can't make the party.
Got the chance to hit Plan Bee this past weekend. Really enjoyed the beers that I had, definitely an improvement on past beer I've had from them. Great spot and hospitable staff. And, hell yeah for the magnum sale!
Is Plan Bee pretty easy to find in shops in NYC? I am going to be there in October for a week and am hoping to bring some back!
Came across some at City Swiggers on the UES, so think yes with some research.
Awesome thanks man!
Yeah PB bottles are definitely starting to show up on shelves more frequently. By October I would assume even more should be making its way down to NYC
They also just started kegging for distro. Just Barn Beer for now but who knows what the future holds...
There are always some plan bee bottles at St Gambrinus. Also a lot of us have a lot of bottles if you're looking to trade. I'm sure I'm not the only one open to the idea.
Id be into that, coming from Canada so will probably bring some lambic and some other stuff not sure if there is anything you would be after! I dont even know which bottles of Plan Bee are the good ones yet or anything but I'd love to do an IP trade
Plan Bee is opening an actual tap room on site. Great news, glad to see they are doing well.
I think it was supposed to be done around Sept/Oct of last year.
It's been a while since I've been able to get up there. Had to sadly drop my hive membership when I bought the house and kid #2 was coming. I really love what they have done and the growth they have had, couldn't happen to a nicer couple.
Barn Beer is now being distributed in New Jersey
And it’s glorious!
Cracked an Empyreal and a Pickle yesterday. Both were very flat, zero carb. Are they meant to be this way?
Just opened a Summer beer. Some carb in this one and it is delicious.
Generally speaking, plan bee, in the past, can be overcarbed. I haven’t had much of their stuff of late but flat is probably not intentional.
I had a KarnL that was flat. It was still pretty good though.
A bunch of the early releases I traded for when PB was starting out had little to no carb. Seems unfortunatey to be an ongoing issue.
