Edit: Or Bottles
Isn’t apex’s lease running out and building being turned into condos w possibility for retail space in ground floor, ie a bar, but Apex/Jessee wanted to buy and not rent and is thus moving elsewhere? Or did that all fall through?
Came here to say this.
Don's right, apex needs to move. Apartments going up there... last I heard
Baileys, no way. Geoff is successful and level is great.
It says existing beer bar... tug boat? I was there the last night, can't imagine it's there...
Btu is already something else, yes?
Wasn't someone else up for sale recently?
Hell no to Bailey's (I work there, I'd know). No to Apex (they were gonna move a couple years ago and then the apartment deal fell through). I'm thinking something like... The Abbey? Never been there. Maybe Bazi? I'm also thinking those because of the Belgian theme. There are plenty of beer bars/bottle shops that aren't hugely popular (see along Lombard/Interstate in N Portland).
I asked someone who's good friends with Ezra (he runs New School, they broke the news) and she just said "No comment." Sounds like she knows. I'll keep pressing.
I would think it's a place that already has a kitchen and serves food. I'm also thinking it's Bazi.
I hope they stop being dicks.
And the winner is... http://brewpublic.com/beer-news/bazi-bierbrasserie-joins-the-thirsty-monk-brewery-and-pub-family/
Does Rose City or Portland wine sell 24 bottle beer shippers or do they just have 12 bottle wine shippers? Thanks
They both sell them. Portland Wine has used ones for cheap (and I assume new ones), RC sells new ones for less cheap. Call ahead to make sure someone is around.
Commons currently has an IPA on tap called "Is This What You Wanted?"
Sam some pictures from last night, wish I could have made it.
Pretty crazy all day. Had an Urban Farmhouse cause I had to, and got growlers of Raspberry Ricky, Pils and Fresh Hop Myrtle.
I've only been to Bazi a few times, but don't remember it being that big of a place. Not sure where they're going to put the brewery.
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they'll contract brew somewhere?
Hope they don't kick out the shops in that building. My wife's favorite store is there.
