My company refuses to let anyone work from home. The only time I work from home are on my "comp" days (which are supposed to be days off from when I travel and work 13 in a row, though my office job never stops and nobody else in the office can do it). I wake up naturally around 6:15-6:30 and on those days am usually responding to emails by 7:30; far earlier than the 9am I usually do from the office. It eliminates my lunch break, as I usually drive home to let my dogs out/just get out of the office, and I am far more productive. Bottom line is- if there is no drop-off in my production (as stated, I actually get more done) and I'm answering emails from my work computer within five minutes of them being sent, why in the world would an employer discourage that? It's insane.
