Hint number two: I'm also shipping south

Sender: I forget exactly what I put in my letter regarding non-beer items, so I'll just touch on a few of them...

    Mead- love it
    Whiskey- love it
Tequila- Sworn off for life, I don't even fuck with tequila barrel aged beers on principle
Coffee- Don't drink it (though I do like coffee flavored beers)
Hot Sauce- Don't use a ton in my day to day life, but I do like it
BBQ Sauce- Would be a waste on me
    Pickles- Yes plz
    Other pickled things- nope
    Cigars- No
    Edibles- Sure, why not

I don't have any food allergies, but I'm very particular about foods, so if you want to use SecretCostanza as an intermediary to ask about something, I'd just hate for you to send something local/homemade that would be lost on me.

Are you referring to the gulf coast as the third coast or are you hopping he's hinting at the 45 miles of actual Third Coast coastline in Indiana?

    Indiana has a coastline?

    (checking Google maps...)

I'm sure it's a lovely place to visit too.

When I was catching up on this thread I had this gif going but was scrolled down only part of the way. Consequently it looked like the guy was scared of his own shadow. I was almost disappointed to realize later that it was a small animal that was terrorizing him instead of his own looming specter.

Sooooo... Anyone down to trade targets?

Sender, sorry for neglecting you. I'll be happy with anything you send, but if you want some more insight into stuff that has been mentioned recently:

Yes: Mead, whiskey, hot sauce, pickles
No: Coffee (love it, but don't brew it at home), cigars (would be wasted on me), edibles

By any chance did you ask Santa for a box full of 50ml bourbon bottles from the early 1980s?

Hint: I'm shipping south, to a place with a warmer winter. Box might go out as early as next week. Heading to Chicago this weekend to pick up some Malort and deep dish pizza for you-- should round out your box nicely.

Sender, I'm here, man. Just swamped at work in these last few weeks of my time at this job. Fortunately, I'll be done with this job right around the time the drinking window opens. I promise to make up for any lack of participation.

    Indiana has a National Park?

    (checks Google Maps)

    I call bullshit, it's a "National Lakeshore".

Everyone should have to drink Malort atleast once in their life. Therefore all of us should have a bottle to force people to drink. This logic is sound correct?

I have similar feelings about Balcones Brimstone bourbon. Anyone who drinks at my house is required to be baptized into the "smoke" as it has been become to be known.

Hint: my target is going to receive a crowler of my favorite local IPA as well as some Methode Butstillnotlambic. Steve and I both recommend you drinking the latter out of a proper lambic shoe.

Also, Sender: YES to homebrew, bourbon, local or homemade snacks, pickles, mustard, pretty much anything else. I don't have any hard NOs, although I don't really drink coffee or smoke cigars.

And so the record is made crystal clear :

“Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is a unit of the National Park System designated as a U.S. National Lakeshore located in northwest Indiana and managed by the National Park Service.”
