That's 2016. It's the first time they did it with that label and those size bottles.
Can anyone tell me what's available to go at the Schramms store this weekend? (Their new website's "store" link seems to be broken.) Thanks!
Ginger, Nutmeg, Raspberry and Blackberry are all on local retail shelves. They may not have all of those at Schramm's, but you can find them around pretty easily.
Store link wouldn't tell you that anyway. Store is for shirts and tickets to seated brunches and dinners.
This turned out to be a surprisingly good drunk decision.
Zima's great too!
Just got in a case of Marion mead from Superstition to split with a friend. Haven't had this mead until today.
Also got in this box of Schramm's from a beer trade
Quick question... I bought this rack to hold my meads. How many people stack their bottles on top of another layer of bottles on a shelf? I'm not too confident that going 9 bottles across and then 8 and then 7 is completely stable.
Just curious if a lot of people do it with 375ml bottles to ease my mind
I'd advise against it, bottles typically don't have a lot of friction between them, and this seems like an easy way to break a lot of bottles at once.
Usually I would agree, but the price was good and free shipping.
I know some of you are in the group but the prices people are paying for these magnums of Garagiste mead is insane.... even if it is for charity.
details? not on FB
Magnum of Bangkok (Mead with ginger and butterfly pea blossoms) put up for 24hr auction with proceeds to charity. Current bid is $550. Auction closes at 8pm.
What!!!! Wow that's a lot of scratch!!!
There's some Bangkok up in this Thread here for the TB crowd: https://www.talkbeer.com/community/threads/lif-parkinsons-awareness-walk-year-2.37170/#post-1378131
So Butterfly Pea Blossoms are also known as Clitoria Ternatea, as they have a similar shape to human female gentalia. Used as a natural food coloring.
Someone with more time on their hands can make a joke about Bangkok and clitoris.
It's a gorgeous shade of blue/purple and one of the more delicately flavored Garagiste meads.
