I prefer Capogiro. But it just isn’t realistic for me to order $20 a pint gelati and sorbetti to my door. What was the topic again?

Soooo how almondy is it? I have had meads with almond in it and found them okay. I have enjoyed eating almonds. I like Jordan almonds. Marzipan is the grossest fucking candy, and every time I see this label I am like "y tho?" Here seems like a safe space to ask this question.

So much sweetness with underlying ahmend. A hint of ahmend for me, but I’m no traditionals expert.

If it's got nuts in it, it's a metheglen, not a traditional.

After leaving the Motor for greener pastures last year, is there any decent mead in Colorado? I still have my Mazer Club membership but I’d love to find something local that’s halfway decent.

You are the Jon Snow of Colorado Mead.

I have as much Sweet Melissa in my cellar as the owner of Medovina has currently. There is none to be found. They still have some dry selections, but their supply of Sweet Melissa honey dried up and they have not found another as of yet.

You have Redstone (their reserves are pretty lit), Meadery of the Rockies (pass), Mystic Meads (not a fucking clue), Honey Girl (heard they weren't great from a reputable source, but they had just opened, maybe they got better)... Honestly, I am pretty sure the AMMA holds their annual gathering there because it's not a turf anyone is currently fighting over. Sorry. California is doing cool stuff. You also get Meridian Hive distribution.

I am just full of optimism and cheer this week.

I would love feedback on Black Forest if you make it Colorado Springs. Beyond that, want me to ship you something?

I’m in the Springs for work all the time so I’ll check it out.

As an aside, say what you will about Trinity's beer or Yester's posting habits... the food at Trinity was pretty great.

I would check out Hunter Moon as well. And I have never heard of Spruce Mountain

    Need a Gonzoillini esque review.
