I remember discovery wines had 65$ magnums of it for a few months last year, it was a steal. One of the great things about Chambers is I think they are licensed to import whatever they want so if no one is repping a particular producer in NY they bring it in direct.

    Funky cider deliciousness.

The best way I can describe it is if a rose and Cantillon had a love child.

Had a fantastic time in wine country this past weekend. Thanks to Abitker for recommending Ruby, where we enjoyed a couple great natural wines which I grabbed, as well as a Love’s Armor still on the shelf. Also thanks to Ryan_G for the winery scenic recs. Loved Porter Creek, Guerneville, the whole area. Favorites were probably Porter Bass, Porter Creek, Silvestrin, and Rancho de Las Flores, but all the wineries we visited were stellar.

Thankfully left Santa Rosa the morning of the wildfires for Yosemite, so we didn’t miss out on anything. Fires were about a half mile from us when we got out though. Pretty scary. Unfortunately now I’ve got a box of wine still sitting at the UPS store in Santa Rosa; no clue when or even if it will get picked up at this point.

Anyone mess with Channing Daughters? Had the Ramato recently and dug it. Any other recommendations for their orange wines?

Heading over to Burgundy, FR next month with Totoropanda for a few days. Any recommendations in the region to eat & dine? Will definitely be trying for a heavy focus on Kenjiro, Bruyere, Overnoy, et al.

So much natural wine on here I feel like I need to post something with sulfites added!

This was fantastic. Savory but with a pronounced plum character. A 2 hour decant brought out more cherry notes. Paired with steak and seared scallops on the grill.
