I finally found the thing that is going to cause Trump to resign:

    http://money.cnn.com/2017/03/20/news/companies/trump-forbes-net-worth/index.html

"President Donald Trump is the nation's first billionaire president -- but he's not as rich as he used to be, according to the Forbes 2017 Billionaires List published Monday.

The magazine put his net worth at $3.5 billion, down $1 billion from the rankings it issued a year ago.

As a result, his position on the Forbes' ranking dropped 220 spots, leaving him tied with 19 others as the 544th richest person in the world."

Look at that, he's given up a billion dollars by shifting focus onto saving America. True American hero.

Fuck all of that. Their parent company - whom they have no control over - donates some money and now people would like to hurt the sales and image of the brand, which will first and foremost negatively impact the non-decision-making staff at the brewery?

If you're gonna boycott Ballast Point, seize their means of adding fruit and candy to every goddamn thing. Don't get pissed because their big business corporate overlords have political views you don't like. This is just as bad as boycotting Target because they don't care where people pee.

A boycott is a boycott. If you want to boycott Constellation, then you boycott all their subsidiaries. I'm not participating or even saying it's good, but the sins-of-the-parent-company argument doesn't really work. And the idea isn't to hurt particular people at a company but to cause enough hurt that they change whatever it is you have an issue with. Direct action like this doesn't work as well if you start carving out exceptions.

I have to disagree. They gave their parent company control with agreement to the sale. Constellation is the image of the brand and the "non-decision-making" staff at the brewery have most certainly made their decision.

Well that's pretty much exactly what this will do, if it does anything. The corporate CEO overlords aren't gonna feel the squeeze on this and they're the ones who fucking did it.

And once you look into what the Constellation Brands PAC actually donates to, they donate on both sides of the aisle:
    https://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/pacgot.php?cycle=2016&cmte=C00304832

Shit, in 2016 they gave $10,000 to Chuck Schumer! Goddamn LIBrulls if you ask me! I'm also seeing a $5,000 donation to Killary Nukham Clinton in 2008. Glance through the list of recipients and I believe we could construct an equally valid case that Constellation Brands (and thus Ballast Point) hate freedom and want to take your guns away. Do you want your guns taken away? I THINK NOT.

Boycotting any company that doesn't align 100% with your political views is stupid and shortsighted.
