Blatantly stealing LaChupacabra's rules for this...
    and then GuisseppeFranco's...

For those of us that were to slow to the draw (KevSal, Gene, etc), here is a new chance to get in on this one of a kind WiF! If you've done this before, please allow others the chance.

    The Basics:

There will be 10 participants in this WIF. Each person will buy a 750ml private selection bottling of FOUR ROSES SINGLE BARREL CASK STRENGTH. Four Roses has 10 distinct recipes (OBSV, OBSK, OBSO, OBSQ, OBSF, OESV, OESK, OESO, OESQ, OESF) and the goal is to have each of these recipes represented in this WIF. If someone else has already submitted a bottle from a specific recipe, it cannot be repeated by another participant. In the end, everyone involved will receive one sample from each of the ten recipes.

You will need to know about your store’s inventory prior to signing up for this WIF, as you need to designate which recipe you’re submitting upon signup.

Please provide as much information about your bottle as possible when you signup: recipe, age, rickhouse, abv, what store selected the barrel. I’d also like everyone to post or send me a photo of the bottle they’re submitting.

    Additionally:

I really enjoyed the one extra blind sample idea and will use it as well:

-Everyone will include an extra sample in their box that they send to me.
-Do not label what the sample is, just use your TB User Name. This way we can do a blind tasting. You could post your tasting notes, guess in the thread and the TB’er who sent it can chime in with what it was.
-The sample has to be at a minimum, another store pick. No pressure to be anything crazy like Pappy 23, just not a standard shelfie like HW Double Rye. Seasonal stuff like ECBP, Midwinter Night’s Dram, etc. is great. I've seen some pretty hefty stuff in the current WIF, so again, no pressure.
-I’ll randomly mix them up and send them back out with your 9 other 4R samples.

    Logistics:

Each person will use a small funnel to split their 750ml bottle into 9 2oz sample vials and will mail those samples to me. You keep the last 7+ ounces of the bottle you purchase for yourself.

I will receive all of the samples, then reorganize them so every box has 9 new whiskeys in it + the mystery sample. I then resend your package back to you.

Everyone ends up with 7oz of the whiskey they purchased and 2oz samples of each of the other 9 FR recipes and something unknown.

You can purchase funnels here and Boston rounds here (here are brown ones if clear are out of stock)

    Additional details:

Target ship date will be four weeks from the time signups end, so it will be dependent on how quickly the spots fill -- Probably late February.

Each person will need to include a return shipping label in the box they send me.

You are responsible for getting your samples to me safely and you will have to replace any broken or leaky samples.

I will return your samples to you in the same box and using the same packing materials that you send to me, so make sure to pack well and use a decent box.

This is my first time ever running one of these things.

Correct. Plastic cone protrudes to seal vs some have just flat paper discs in the interior of the lid

I can do either OBSK or OESV - whichever doesn’t get claimed first.

Maybe we open it up to folks who have participated in the past and are interested in doing so again?

At this point, those who missed out have had a sufficient chance to opt in I'd say, so yea!

If you've done a version of this before and want to do it again, sign on up.
