Donated.

Zach and his wife were some of the best people we had the joy of knowing in Austin. Zach and I had been talking a bit the last few months about some of the jobs he was looking for in MA. I'm shocked and saddened.

I'll never forget Zach bringing over a Vat 109 for me to try back before you can find it locally and before I really started trying lambic. I can't match Mark but would be happy to send a 6 shipper of Casey, Jester King, and a Vat 109 for someone. Compton25 would you be willing to draw another name and tell me who at the end.

Not a problem, I will add your box to the LIF. Thank you for the box and donation.

First off, I wanted to thank everyone for the love and support you have shown Zach’s family. You all crushed the goal within two days. The LIF and GoFundMe is still open until May 15th, and any additional is welcome.

jrstar96 has donated a box so we can have a 2nd winner: 6 shipper containing Jester King, Casey, and Vat 109. Thank you again.

Below is the other box. GCB and Cuvée Renee Special Blend was two of Zach’s favorite lambics.

Thank you all.

It's never fun seeing these posts, especially when it is someone you knew but this one stings pretty hard

Zach was an awesome guy and someone I considered a somewhat close friend. He was one of the first people I met in Austin when I moved here and taught me a lot of things about beer and also helped expand my friend group when I knew few people here outside of a few high school buddies.

Condolences to his family and any others that also considered him a friend.

It's surreal to my GF and me. And TheOrtiz01 keeps taking the words out of my mouth, here and elsewhere.

We had just seen Zach at Mike's wedding, with his giant smile and wife. He gave me one of those great handshakes and we talked about recent job changes. He said my suit looked good but I should've gone with a full windsor to bring my A+ game-- which encapsulates part of who he was. He always wanted people to be kind and the best version of themselves.

Not seeing him and the crew the next day was a bummer, but now it's 100-fold. There's an empty feeling in my home right now, but we feel for his family most of all. I hope he knew how much he meant to us, and that a small donation can help ease his family's enormous loss. We'll always remember him.
