Willowbrook area isn't the best for beer but there are nearby grocery stores and a brewery.

The best local brewery, which is very close to Willowbrook area, is 11 Below.

In terms of bottle shops, there's HEB Vintage (good growler fill prices and a decent selection of bottles/cans), WF Louetta (has gone down hill severely so don't go unless you see a beer on tap hunter you want to try on tap), and Specs 249/Spring Cypress (I wouldn't bother here either unless you have free time to burn).

There are no good craft beer spots in the Willowbrook area. If you travel north a bit, there's a new tap spot called Thistle Draftshop that's worth checking out. Hopefully Brew30 will be open by then which is less north for you.

The beer you want to try will range for what's out on 2/18. For sure, check out Lone Pint Yellow Rose (brewery in Magnolia, which is 20-30 mins north of Willowbrook area). If you are going into town for a few hours, do check out Whole Foods Post Oak Brewery (in the WF) for their IPA's, stouts and porters. Brash has great stouts. Great Heights and Eureka are doing some good things. As previously mentioned, D&Q Beer Station is our best bottle shop next to Specs on Smith Street near downtown.
