Lambics Against Youth Homelessness!

Once again, Lambic.Info is continuing our annual effort to help support the New Avenues for Youth. Last year’s beer raffle raised $16,530. Let's do it again! The prizes this year are unbelievable!

The raffle will consist of at least ten boxes of lambic. We will add an 11th mystery box once we hit 1000 tickets. And this year, we’ll also add a 12th box when we exceed last year’s donations.

A special note about box 10. We welcome international participation! Last year we had a lot of international entries but no winner. This year, we are guaranteeing at least one international winner. If we have not called out an international name on any of the first nine boxes, than box 10 will be drawn from a separate bowl that contains only non-US names. Otherwise, it will be drawn normally.

To participate, you will get one ticket for every $10 you donate to New Avenues. To enter, please follow these instructions exactly:

  1. Make a donation (in $10 increments) to New Avenues for Youth:
  2. In the “This donation is in tribute to: “ section, please write “Lambic”.
  3. Click next, and on the second page enter your name and contact information
  4. Process your donation with your chosen method of payment
  5. Email a copy of your receipt to:

To be entered in this raffle we must receive a copy of your receipt between July 1 & August 17 at 11pm ET.
Lambic.Info will hold the drawing online on August 24 before the Oyster and Gueuze Social. Winners will be notified immediately and shipping will be arranged.

Please note, while this effort is in support of New Avenues for Youth, the raffle is being run solely by us at Lambic.Info.

Additionally, we will be sponsoring the wall of lambic again at the Brew for New Avenues VIP session this year, and donating to that event offers you another way to earn raffle tickets. For every bottle of lambic you donate directly to Brews for New Avenues, you will earn three raffle tickets (these tickets don’t count toward the prize unlocking goals above). Details on how you can donate lambic to the wall will be coming shortly.

If every one of you who reads this post buys just one ticket, we will more than exceed our goals, and you will be making a real difference in the lives of many young people.

Thanks for reading, and hope to see some of you in Portland in August!

The special call out for one box seems odd. Every ticket had the same chance of winning last year.
Last year, we had donations from 18 countries, including 35 donations from people in Sweden alone. While you're right, the odds were what they were, it was unusual that all boxes went to Americans. At the conclusion of last year's event, we said that we were going to make this change this year. We're just following through on that commitment.

Box 10 specifically was donated by a European member of the community for this purpose. In fact, the bottles are physically overseas at the moment (and are staying there until after the drawing). Think of it as if we were running a US and international raffle in many ways. We also added 2 more boxes this year over last year.

We are within one week of finishing up our raffle drive to raise money for the 7th Annual Brews for New Avenues event benefiting homeless and at-risk youth in Portland, OR. If you donate and your name is drawn first, this is your prize! This bottle of Cantillon Nèfles was donated by Moeder Lambic Fontainas! Nèfles (du Japon), or loquat in English, is a previously unreleased experiment bottled in 2013. Until Quintessence 2018, where it was served only on-site at Moeder, we had no idea this beer even existed. The loquat is described as being “a pleasant blend of apricot, plum and cherry with floral overtones, and is quite sweet when ripe” according to the folks over at Splendid Table. We haven’t had a chance to try one yet, so we’re anxious to hear the winner’s thoughts on it! If you haven’t donated yet, please consider heading over to and following the instruction donations. $10 gets you a ticket and a chance to win this or any of our other boxes!
