What's up with Masala? It's still perfect, but between 2008 and now it's somehow slipped from BA's 5th best beer to it's 100-something-th. Have tastes just changed that much?

I think a lot of folks have caught up and other "bigger" beers have taken over the top spots. I personally loved Masala but I rated it exactly the same as Odell IPA.

It isn't sour or barrel aged

It is always available.

If they brewed it seasonally, it would be a top 25 beer

So glad you edited that. Serious though, Odell's IPA for me is an example of the way the general level of brewers small and large have really dialed in the IPA style in general and you have a plethora of really good examples.
