Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018

Tickets available now for Mikkeller beer club members, and tomorrow for non-members. 2645dkk for gold ticket, no silvers this year and I didn't check but assuming regular single session tickets are around 500dkk. Not much info around yet, but hopefully soon.

Seems like the value proposition for Gold over Pink is pretty poor.

Question for those with past experience, acknowledging that it probably gets worse every year: how quickly do these all session tickets sell out?

Gold and silver went first. Late sessions single tickets also went pretty fast, but the early sessions and pink were around for a while I think. Not even sure early Friday and pink sold out at all. At least I know that early Friday was a lot calmer than the other three.

I also grabbed a gold one. Figured the 20 min earlier entrance allows me to try a lot of the stuff I otherwise would've skipped because of long lines. I couldn't care less about the glass and t-shirt though, but I'm a bit curious about the "secrets".

Just booked our stay, we're doing wed-mon this time, and realized everything is far more expensive this year compared to previous ones. Turns out Denmark is hosting the Hockey World Cup during the MBCC weekend. Heads up, things might get crowded! Copenhagen isn't that big after all.

Also, seems like they're hosting a fifth session on Sunday. Free entry for, but not exclusive to, gold tickets. Not a lot of info around. Serving the weekend's leftovers? I'm a bit torn on this. Is it just a cheap way to add "value" to the gold ticket, compared to pink?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Pink ticket - anyone think this is a stupid idea? It'll be my first time in Copehnhagen, so I'll want to check the city out a bit in between sessions.

Not sure if I should take the dive on the Gold ticket or not since $300 for a ticket is quite expensive, $200 more would be reasonable for the right reasons.

The Gold is now 500€? Was 400€ when the first went on sale. That said, I have heard the Gold tickets aren't exactly worth it (yes, I'm a ******* and got a Gold ticket) and Pink tickets are the way to go.

I can't swing the trip to MBCC sadly but hoping I can fit in a trip back to Europe in the fall. I hope you and everyone going enjoys it, last year was a blast!
