Growlers were Double Citra and Friendship and Reunion. Both were two weeks old, still carbed but definitely pushing how long I'd hang on to one. HF bottle is twilight of the idols.

Left to right:
port brewing - ne goeien
fou foune
stonewall
the BA mexicake trifecta
first bottlings of jackie o's BB impy razz and orange oak
totality

Folks...If there was any question in your mind regarding hype. Let me firmly state that Apple Brandy mexican cake is the real deal. Easily the best beer I drank in awhile. Red wine was interesting and the one I enjoyed the least of the 3. The wine clashed with the beer instead of blending and making it better like the brandy and JD.

The ne goeien was probably my second favorite beer of the tasting last night (yes, above the other mexicakes and fou)

Stonewall was an unfortunate let down. Can't believe ive been holding on to it this long expecting big things and it was not that great.

For how much I enjoy 50/50 eclipses... I was surprised how much I didnt like the base.

This was from late winter, but it's the only one I have on my phone right now.

This was just 3 of us and resulted in one person spilling an entire CBS snifter of Stone IRS on the couch, someone else passing out with taquitos all over them, and me putting a bottle of (512) Whiskey Barrel Double Pecan Porter in the freezer, only to forget about it. WB2XPP slushies out of the ice machine the next day.

Camping trip yesterday. There were 7 of us

Here's the results of the tasting i hosted last weekend. Jbuddle, SpeedwayJim, Totoropanda, Sean9689, Jrallen, BucketBoy and I had a bit of a "Retirement" tasting (at least for the NY crew) over the weekend, which Sean aptly named the "F**K Yo Passport Tasting". Thanks to Sean, Jason and Joe for traveling to pop these bottles with us. This was one of the craziest whale hunts ever, thanks to everyone in the group for helping to land these bottles!

On the list were:

Cantillon Goldackerl Gueuze
Cantillon Reed Muscat
Cantillon Reed Pinot Noir
Cantillon Groseille
Cantillon Groseille a Maquereau
Cantillon Tyrnilambic Baie d'Argousier
Cantillon Pikkulinnun Viskilambic
Cantillon Loerik
Cantillon Zwanze 2008
Hill Farmstead Edward
Hill Farmstead Walden
Bullfrog Black Cherry Bomb
Bullfrog Beekeeper
Bullfrog Blue Cheer
Bullfrog Grrrz Kriek
Bullfrog Grrrz Druiven Lambic
Lost Abbey Knights Templar
Lost Abbey Veritas 004
Lost Abbey Duck Duck Gooze
H.erti Bitter
H. Erti ACBF '12
Gasthaus-Brauerei Eszett
Sam Adams Utopias 2009
Sam Adams Utopias MMII
Struise Nupitale A2
Struise Nupitale T2
Bruery Bottleworks XII
Bruery White Chocolate
Midnight Sun Viking

Opinions about which were the best were varied. The Reeds (especially the Muscat) were a big hit. The Pikku, Loerik and Zwanze 08 were also favorites. The Bullfrog bottles were fantastic. I think people are going to go crazy over the upcoming releases. The One Pint bottles were better than I expected. Most of us thought their reputation for being extremely sour was justified.
