Saw some folks inquiring about the crazy Mamma Mia! Pizza Beer on this forum. Just to clarify, the beer was originally intended to be strictly a home brew that my wife and I would use for marinades, breads & pizza crust. It actually paired well with food so we took it to market as the "World's First Culinary Beer." Having a $0 marketing budget and using the last of our savings we launched literally on a wing and a prayer. We brewed at Sprecher for 6 years, sold the beer in 11 different states and 3 International locations. Not bad for two broke people raising two teenage girls. Sprecher ran out of capacity for contract brews in 2014, at the time we had a purchase order for an additional 1,000 cases plus South Korea was planning another container full. We are actively seeking a strategic partner who will make the beer & allow us to market it with our line of beer-food products including Pizza Beer Pizza Crust Mix, Beer Taco & Fajita Mix, Beer Bread, Beer Sloppy Joes, Chili & more. Our web store is www.pizzabeer.net/store we will extend a 25% discount to all members here using the promom code pizza. The fulll story can be viewed by googling pizza beer & MSNBC.

You know what Pizzabeer , your beer never sold particularly well for me at Sam's or Binny's, but no bullshit i've always admired your passion to keep going in the face of adversity. Your products fill a niche, and it's impressive to see you keep going.

Thanks. The beer did better in supermarkets and appeals more to foodies than BA crowd. However BA folks that understand pairing beer with food or using it as an ingredient got the concept. We currently have grocers who sell the food products that are willing to buy it by the pallet. Also in 2008 it was smack dab in the middle of the recession and i'm sure you remember the countless demos we did to educate the public on what the beer was. I think you came up with the pizza beer bloody mary at Binny's right?

Just wanted to weigh in to say that this is not a Bad Thread and would not merit a Photekut Like™

Also, I'm looking forward to the TalkBeer exclusive batch of pizza beer when production is back up and running. Never did get to try that one.
