Thoughts on this topic in general? I’m relatively new to trading outside of friends and have recently started looking into various beer clubs outside of my immediate travel radius. I have a few specific questions to start the discussion.

1) Is this generally frowned upon in the trading community? My experience is mulling may be but asking for a proxy doesn’t seem to be.

2)What’s your thoughts on the appropriate offer for someone that is willing to proxy for you? My thought was if the brewery allows you to buy extra then offering to purchase 1-2 extra bottles of their choosing.

3) Why aren’t there any proxy specific threads?

Whatever you call it, proxy, mule, #gapiufmb, it is dependent on relationship/reputation. I am a proponent of the #gapiufmb.

1) Muling seems to be frowned upon when you are recruiting the downtrodden to help exceed the beer quota/limit for that release. Acting as a proxy for a release you are not near is kosher IMHO. People do it a lot. Especially with the proliferation of beer clubs across the U.S. and state specific shipping laws.

2)Depends

3)Proxy threads seem to pop up when there is a release within specific threads or happen via PM.
