There will be some mild cheese and fresh bread available during the event. The dining room will be closed to the public while we host the tasting. This is a ticketed event and tickets will be limited. Tickets are available for purchase at the bar and are priced at $25.
Oct 11 - 03:30 PM - Oct 11 - 07:30 PM: Pour It Forward. Charitable drinking with La Trappe
How does it work?
1. We pour 40 full La Trappe Quadruples in La Trappe chalices. This is the "Pour It Forward" aspect of the event and each patron receives a raffle ticket along with their complimentary beer. After the 40 beers are passed out to the patrons, the remaining 20-25 beers in the keg are charged for at regular price and all of the proceeds from the sale of these beers go directly to Calvary St Andrews Church Emergency Food Cupboard. La Trappe draft beer will continue be available after the first keg. Each time you order a beer you receive a raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased throughout the event for $1 per each. Rare Oak-Aged Quadrupel bottles will be raffled away each hour. At the end of the event, you are allowed to purchase your La Trappe chalice for $5. A steal of a deal. All proceeds from raffle tickets, glassware sales and the first keg of beer go to the Calvary St Andrews Church Emergency Food Cupboard.
2. Win an original painting by Brother Wolfgang of La Trappe Monastery. Purchase a raffle ticket for $20. The painting will be displayed at the pub leading up to the event. The money raised from the painting will go straight to La Trappe's sister monastery in Uganda which is helping to rebuild schools and provide books for underprivileged children. This is an incredibly rare and unique opportunity. The $20 investment to have this painting in your home is fantastic!
