2013 Alaskan smoked porter is on shelves. Hopefully sitting next to some 2012 in a few stores, thankfully the hoarding addiction has not caught this one.

I still have a 2012. Bought it last year and it got pushed to the back of my beer fridge and forgotten about. Always heard good things about it, but still haven't had one yet.

Ok who actually tried this brewery? Thought I heard average things about the bottles opened at Jester king funk n sour, but this sounds good. I'm interested in splitting/sharing a bottle.

Saw a shitload of that one on shelves in San Antonio. Have avoided their stuff, based on several BAD reviews I've heard from other people.

alaskan smoked is killer whenever you drink it. it does not need to be aged at all as there are no crazy flavors/alcohol in it to merit aging. you CAN age it wonderfully unlike most beers of its type. i had a 2002 a month ago that was freaking fantastic.

I had their Sleepy Hollow smoked pumpkin beer at Craft Pride on Halloween and really liked it, fwiw.

They don't seem to have a "core" beer in their lineup, which I find strange for a newer brewery. Just special release after special release. Must have some deep pockets behind them with that business model... even Jester King started out with an IPA and stout to get themselves off the ground.

I have a bottle of this but I told my girlfriend I'd split it with her.

Had this last weekend was pretty underwhelmed also tried manmossa and their pumpkin nothing great

I've had 2 5 Stones....

Manmosa - orange wheat. I liked it
Rhubarb Cherrylicious - nothing great

I have a bottle of Camo in the fridge

Of the 5 Stones beers I've had, Sleepy Hollow was surprisingly good and different for a pumpkin beer, Aloha Piña had a nice pineapple/jalapeño flavor without going overboard, and Manmosa was so juicy orange it hardly seemed like beer, but I loved it. Stay far, far way from Flower Child, unless you like lemon Pine Sol.

I agree on Sleepy Hollow. Probably my 2nd favorite TX pumpkin beer behind Pumpkinator this year.

Was it bottled? Yet to see it in ATX.

I picked up a bottle at JK during FnS - looks like it is still on their bottle list.

I finally drank this a couple nights ago. It was meh on all counts. A little bit of cherry, but not much bitterness or tarness or fruit.
