Travelling I-95 stores, breweries... anything beer related (or otherwise worth seeing)

I'm planning on driving from Western Ma to Jacksonville in a few weeks and wanted anyone's impression of where to go and stop. We are willing to take out time and go out of the way (by an hour or two)... so what breweries would you hit up? I've posted this thread on other sites before and found a few stores but I always look for new breweries or suggestions since I know the scene changes every year and I make the 95 drive annually or bi-annually at most.

I also don't know if this can be posted in more than just mid-Atlantic... but if it could be in south Atlantic and new England as well that would be great.

We drove from NJ to NC and stopped at Hardywood in Richmond, VA on the way. Right off 95 too if I remember.
