Anyone here ever attended Zwanze @ Masia Agullons in Spain? I'll be in Barcelona at that time & looking for advice/suggestions regarding travel (car rental likely required I'd imagine) and lodging in that area...

cheers!

Bummer that Kernel aren't hosting the London one this year but it's not surprising it's moved to Beer Merchants. Also no Akkurat? That's a bit of a surprise.

Will be Spuyten in NYC for me again this year.

first Zwanze day in a while that does not coincide w/ a birthday for me... debating whether to stay local (NY) or go to Monks, Armsby, or Novare

Very curious why Finland was kept out of this years Zwanze locations. Stadin Panimo (operating under the same owner as OnePint) has taken over as the go-to spot for Cantillon in Finland and I believe they are the importer as well. Given that Argousier is heading to that location and theyve held the last two Zwanze's in Helsinki im surprised to see that they were left off the list.

Time to lost the Jester King lotto again! Woo!

Then I'll say "Meh, I'm going to Avenue Pub," think about driving for 8 hours, then end up drinking IPAs again.

I totally missed that American Solera is on that list. Will keep an eye on that one if Jester King doesn’t work out. That’s like 2 hours closer than NOLA...

... unfortunately you also are in Oklahoma, which I count as a minus.

3 straight years of being out of town while it's 10 minutes from my house. sigh.

Anyone else going to Zwanze Day at Saint Somewhere? I got a ticket for a Zwanze pour so I'm probably 90%+ in on going. It was only $15 so if I can't make the trip down I'm not out a huge amount. I need to get down to the Tampa area anyway to pick up my pile of Garagiste bottles, so that would kill too birds with one stone.

Here's the info for Garage Project in NZL:

PARTY TIME! For the 3rd year in a row, we are lucky enough here at Garage Project to be part of the annual celebration of Cantillon's Zwanze beer release!

We encourage lambic enthusiasts to join us in raising a glass alongside our friends around the globe at our Wild Workshop. A fitting location to celebrate Zwanze, which in Brussels dialect refers to a sarcastic and non-traditional sense of humour.

In honour of this auspicious occasion we will have a selection of Cantillon bottles available at all Garage Project locations for one day only! 91 Aro and Kingsland will offer tasting flights of Cantillon beers and 68 Aro will have bottles available for takeaway purchase. The 2018 Zwanze beer, Manneken Pise, is a blend of lambics aged for two years in Amarone, Chianti, and Sangiovese barrels. The barrels impart a woody, wine-like character, with flavors of mango and citrus. The beer is dedicated to the Italian friends of Cantillon who help them to protect the traditional Lambic heritage.

And for Carwyn Cellars in Melbourne, AUS:

We are thrilled, honoured and frankly, quite giddy to be chosen as the Australian venue to host the most revered of all beer events this September 29th. Brasserie Cantillon are widely regarded as the world's premiere producer of traditional lambic beer—once a year they release a new limited release beer simultaneously across the planet, and it's a big ol gosh darn celebration of all that is Cantillon and all that is lambic inspired. Here's what we plan to do for Zwanze Day at Carwyn:

Zwanze Day Breakfast (9am-11:30am) and Lunch (12pm-2:30pm)
BOTH ARE TICKETED EVENTS
Included in ticket price ($120 +BF):
5 x 150ml pours of Cantillon tap beers
1 x 200ml pour of Zwanze beer
1 x Zwanze beer glass
1 x Zwanze t-shirt
1 x delicious breakfast or lunch
(Ensure you enter a valid email when purchasing as we will need to contact you regarding t-shirt sizing)

**Please note: the bar will NOT be open to the public until 2:30pm on the day. Entry will be free from this time, but we cannot guarantee what may be left on the taps. Tickets for the breakfast and lunch events will go up for sale on Eventbrite at midday August 29th. Links to tickets will be publicised on this event page and our main Facebook page.

We are also delving into the Carwyn cellar to bring out some aged Cantillon gems for bottle pours on the day. Expect approx. 8 different Cantillon beers available by the glass for purchase on the day.
